What is Dead Synchronicity?

Nintendo gets a reputation for being a “child’s” system. I know I have fallen guilty of this. But with the recent releases of DOOM and Dead Synchronicity, this reputation is starting to falter. In Dead Synchronicity, you play as Michael who is an amnesiac and has woken up to a world that has been affected by “the Great Wave”.

Dead Synchronicity is a raw adventure game that you will progress through by finding items and using them to solve puzzles. The worst thing about this game is that it does not allow the use of the touchscreen, instead, you have to navigate by using the toggle and an on-screen cursor. This is definitely a missed opportunity to increase value in the game.

Overall, the post-apocalyptic world in Dead Synchronicity is pleasant to explore and the voice acting is a definite plus. The puzzles are laid out in a nice way, but the game seems to be lacking in certain fields, especially the touch-screen support.
