What is Ben 10?
Well, Ben 10 is a TV show on Cartoon Network, but this is about the new Switch title! Honestly, ever since I was a kid, TV/Movie based video games have been terrible. So when I received Ben 10 on the Switch, I was very intrigued. I wanted to see if these games have become any better, and I was surprised!
Firstly, the game is presented very nicely. There are cutscenes, voice acting, and some good writing! Ben has the ability to change into 10 different creatures, each with unique abilities. At the start of the game, you only have 3 forms and you unlock new ones as you progress through the game. Ben 10 on the Nintendo Switch is a typical beatem-up. But as it typically happens with other beatem-ups, you find yourself getting tired of it due to repetition. This isn’t so much an issue with Ben 10, but the beatem-up genre in general.
Overall, this game is extremely effective as a licensed property and it definitely holds it’s own on the Switch. There is a moderate amount of difficulty and boss fights are quite fun! If you are not a fan of beatem-ups then Ben 10 might not be the best title for you since it follows the generic algorithm of beatem-ups.
